Monday Math Literature: Story Problems with Tacky the Penguin
Happy Monday! If today is your first day back at work for the year, I hope it is going really well. I always find January to be the month that my students learn and change the most. Yesterday, I wrapped up our book study on Children's Mathematics and am looking forward to our new book study starting this Sunday. We will be looking at Number Talks and from what I read so far, it is going to be another great book! For the past few installments of Monday Math Literature , I have been using some of my favorite winter picture books to inspire math story problems. Last week I shares some problems I wrote for Snowmen At Night . This week, I have been thinking a lot about penguins and wanted to create some problems to go with Tacky the Penguin .
